For quite some time, I would say about 11 years, computers and the internet have always been, and still are major hobbies and resourceful tools for me.

How they have advanced to where they are today though…

I think it is just plain awesome. How else can someone from the comfort of their home, car, boat, closet ( you know that first home office you had? ) find the magnitude of information, music, movies, videos, software and games ( can’t forget them! ) than you can because of computers and the internet? I can’t think of any. This incredible technology has changed the world, not only in how we can communicate, discuss, share and interact with each other be it personal or business related, but a computer and an internet connection has made it possible for just about anyone, to not only envision, but to indeed actually have the opportunity to be a business owner, and live a unique and different lifestyle.

Late 2004 was when I decided to really put more focus into my “hobby” and start developing an online business. Until recently ( first part of 2007) It had been mostly a part time process. I also own two offline, repair and service businesses that keep me busy.

Over the last eleven years I have been able to learn and experience a lot of ingenious ideas and changes on the world of the web, and like a lot of others marketers, I started to develop my online business as an affiliate marketer. Mostly because Its the least expense and easiest way test a market or idea and maybe make some sales (money) too.

One thing I soon discovered though, is that all online marketers are in one way or another, a niche and research marketer, and are always learning, tweaking, communicating and interacting together to build their business and presents online.

Thus I have created Colossal Marketing not only as my CMS, but also as a way for me to interact and share what I already know and do, along with what I continue to learn, find, and experience for making money and growing niche businesses both online and offline.

My hope is what I log and bring to the table through my posts here at Colossalmarketing.com, helps you develop and grow you businesses too.
